Looking for a place to wash that dog?

It's everyone's favorite charity dog wash. Come enjoy a drink while your pup gets a bath. 100% of the proceeds raised from washes support a different local rescue each month. Every wash includes a bath, ear cleaning, and a towel dry. No appointment needed, though you can pre register your dog below.

How Bath Day started

It started with one person and a hose.

Nikki Maness was our very first wooferee. She started washing dogs in early 2017, and she had a way with them. An even bigger way with people. Nikki believed that helping animals should be simple. Show up, roll up your sleeves, do the work. A few dogs, a few volunteers, one Sunday a month, and every dollar going straight to a rescue that needed it. That was her whole idea.

She helped place more dogs than we could ever count, and she taught us that community is something you build one Sunday at a time. We lost Nikki in 2020. We knew right away that Bath Day could not stop. It was never really an event. It was Nikki showing us how to give back.

That first year was small. A handful of dogs, a little cash box, and a lot of heart. The next year it grew. By 2019 it had found its full size, with a steady line of pups every second Sunday. We took 2020 off to remember her, and then we came back, because that is exactly what she would have wanted.

Over $86,000 raised

Since that first afternoon, Bath Day has raised over $86,000 for local dogs who needed it most. It grows a little more every second Sunday, and we think Nikki would love that.

Baths Change Lives

100% of proceeds support a local rescue

Each month we spotlight a different Sarasota area rescue, and every cent raised from washes goes straight to them. Your dog gets clean, and a shelter dog gets a second chance.

How Bath Day works

1

2

Purchase your bath

Pay for your wash at check in and we will give you a rough wait time estimate.

3

Let your pup play

Settle in and let your dog run and play in our off leash park while you wait.

4

We come get your dog

A volunteer will come grab your pup when it is their turn. You are welcome to join them or stay put. Every dog is different, so you know yours best.

5

Bath time

Under our outdoor tent, your dog gets a warm bath with all natural Dapple Up Pup shampoo, plus a basic towel dry and an ear cleaning.

6

Nails, if you added them

If you purchased a nail trim, it is done by an on site professional.

7

Back to the park

Your freshly washed pup heads back to the park to keep drying and playing.

8

It all goes to rescue

Every dollar, including any extra you would like to donate on top of the set price, goes directly to that day's charity partner.
