BARTENDER/BARBACK
Position: Front of House
Location: Dog Bar Sarasota – In-person only
Pay: $9.98/hr + Tips (Average $20–$30/hr depending on the season)
Schedule: Weekends & Holidays required
We’re hiring for our opening team at Dog Bar Sarasota! This is a rare opportunity to join an established concept with a loyal following — now launching in a brand-new location. We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Bartenders/Barbacks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beverages, excellent customer service skills, and of course, a love for dogs. You’ll be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for our two-legged guests while working in a lively environment surrounded by playful pups.
Bartending Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes
- Process customer payments and operate POS system efficiently
- Verify IDs to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws
- Maintain a clean, organized bar area throughout shifts
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Create specialty drinks and seasonal offerings
- Develop rapport with regular customers
- Maintain knowledge of our beer, wine, and spirits selection
Barback Duties:
- Restock bar supplies including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
- Assist bartenders during peak hours
- Wash and sanitize glassware
- Change kegs as needed
- Help maintain cleanliness of the entire bar area
- Deliver food orders from kitchen to customers when necessary
Qualifications
- 21+ years of age with valid ID
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of craft beers, wines, and cocktail preparation
- Valid alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Cash handling experience and basic math skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Comfort working in an environment with dogs of all sizes
- Food Handler’s certification a plus

WOOFEREE
Position: Dog Yard Attendant
Location: Dog Bar Sarasota – In-person only
Pay: $15-17/hr + Tips
Schedule: Evenings & Weekends
We’re seeking energetic, dog-loving individuals to join our team as Yard Attendants (or as we like to call them, “Wooferees”). In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs in our play area while providing exceptional customer service to our human guests.
Responsibilities
- Monitor dog play areas to ensure safe interactions between all dogs
- Recognize and respond appropriately to dog body language and behaviors
- Prevent and diffuse potential conflicts between dogs
- Enforce Dog Bar rules and vaccination requirements
- Clean and sanitize the yard area throughout your shift
- Communicate effectively with pet parents about their dogs’ behavior
- Assist with checking vaccination records and membership information
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for both dogs and humans
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
Qualifications
- Genuine love for dogs and understanding of canine behavior
- Previous experience working with dogs preferred (pet sitting, dog walking, shelter/rescue work, veterinary assistant, etc.)
- Ability to remain calm in high-energy situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly when needed
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to recognize signs of stress, aggression, or discomfort in dogs
- Customer service experience a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification for dogs a plus (or willingness to obtain)

KITCHEN STAFF
Position: Back of House
Location: Dog Bar Sarasota – In-person only
Pay: $17/hr based on experience

Bone Appétit is our wood-fired pizza kitchen located inside Dog Bar Sarasota — and we’re looking for reliable, fast-moving kitchen staff to help us serve up craveable pies to dog-loving humans. This isn’t your average kitchen gig. You’ll be part of a brand-new team launching an exciting, casual-concept food space in a one-of-a-kind environment where dogs roam freely and guests come to unwind. We’re looking for someone who can handle a busy service with a great attitude, stays cool under pressure, and brings strong kitchen fundamentals to the table.
Kitchen Duties:
- Prep and assemble ingredients for wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and sides
- Work the line during service (including oven, salad, and expo stations)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-night clean-up
- Follow recipes and portioning to maintain quality and consistency
- Communicate clearly with bar and front-of-house staff
- Manage inventory and alert management when supplies run low
- Occasionally assist with special events or food pop-ups
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of kitchen or line cook experience (preferred)
- Weekend availability is a must
- Ability to work efficiently and cleanly in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn wood-fired techniques and maintain kitchen standards
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

FRONT DESK
Position: Host Stand
Location: Dog Bar Sarasota – In-person only
Pay: $15hr
Schedule: Evenings & Weekends
As the front desk face of Dog Bar Sarasota, you’ll be the first person guests meet and the one who sets the tone for their entire visit. This isn’t your typical host stand job. You’ll greet guests, check dog memberships, explain our off-leash concept, and help manage day-of logistics for events and parties.
This is an ideal role for someone who’s a people-person and a detail-lover. You’re confident enforcing rules with kindness, staying calm under pressure, and multitasking like a champ, all while surrounded by excited pups and their humans.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests and dogs entering the bar with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Check memberships and vaccination records using our POS and software system
- Sell and renew memberships and explain Dog Bar rules to first-time visitors
- Maintain a clean and welcoming front entry area
- Track and manage event sign-ins and coordinate small private party arrivals
- Assist with day-of event logistics and provide support to the events manager
- Communicate with bartenders and wooferees to relay any issues or flagged dogs
- Respond to guest questions and ensure a smooth, safe experience for both dogs and humans
- Represent the Dog Bar brand with a fun, inclusive, and welcoming attitude
Qualifications
- Weekend availability is a must
- Must be comfortable working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Highly organized and tech-savvy (you’ll use POS, event tools, and Google Forms)
- Comfortable enforcing policies in a firm but kind way
- Can multitask and stay calm during high-volume times
- Experience in customer service, hosting, or front desk work (preferred)
- Event or hospitality experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
